Support Service for Victims of Violence (SEAVis)

The Support Service for Victims of Violence (SEAVis) at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) aims to provide psychosocial care for students and staff who have been victims of violence and guide them to seek the appropriate services in and outside UFSC. It also aims at supporting and coordinating educational interventions to ensure violence does not happen again.

SEAVis is a safe and confidential space where students and staff can find support and information on how to deal with these situations.

The service was established in February 2023 and is part of the UFSC Policy on Confronting Institutional Racism (Normative Resolution No. 175/2022/CUn, of 29 November 2022). It is managed jointly by the Prorectorate for Affirmative Action and Equity and the Prorectorate for Personnel Management and Development (PRODEGESP).
