How to report violence

Violence experienced within the university must be reported to the UFSC Ombud’s Office, which serves as the central channel for receiving complaints from any person who has experienced violence committed by a member of the university community.

Complaints may be submitted either by the victim or by witnesses. On all campuses, reports must be filed through the Fala.br system, and should include minimum supporting evidence for the allegation.

The confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identity is guaranteed upon request.

If there is evidence that a criminal offence has occurred, an incident report must also be filed with the Office of Institutional Security (SSI), which will forward the case to external investigative authorities or provide guidance on registration with the Civil or Federal Police, depending on the situation, as well as its referral to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
